Years ago, a word was shared with me that was said to capture the essence of living life to its fullest at every moment: kaviashuktuk. This concept stuck in my mind and wandering spirit. Years later, I have yet to meet an Inuit speaker who has heard the true meaning of this word … but nonetheless, as a method of living, this word has come to symbolize something deeper.
